Library Instruction
We offer the following information literacy/library instruction services (30 minutes on average)
- Overview of Library Services - we come to your class and give your students step-by-step instructions on how to use the library, databases, and library catalog. These introductory sessions can last between 45 minutes to an hour.
- Subject or Assignment Specific presentations - we can also tailor an instruction session for specific assignments in your class. These can include overviews of specific databases, search tips for specific material types, etc. These sessions can last anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes depending on what you need. We can even add in guided searching and more practical hands-on exercises, though those will take additional time. We're happy to limit or expand a session based on the time available in your class!
- One-on-One Research help - have a student who is struggling? Send them to us and we will take the time to get them back on track.
